God.

Unbelievable bad news.

Gutted for the family, for everyone that was part of her life and most especially for the lady herself.

This is terrible news, she was only 63..., they hadn't even finished off the next series of the Sarah Jane Chronicles according to the various websites I've been checking to see if the news was definately true or not!!!

This is the worst news I've heard this year. I was fortunate enough to meet and get to know Liz when I helped out with the first three Dimensions on Tyne Conventions. She was one of the nicest and friendliest people I have ever had the good fortune of meeting. The very last time I met and spoke to her was just before she went on stage for a panel/interview back in 2002. The sketch she signed for me at that time has just become an even more treasured possession than it was before. She is a sad loss, especially at such a young age.

Tears flowed from me too with this sad news.. A big part of our lives for such a long time, she will be missed by us all..

Not sure if they finished filming series 5 of SJA but will be good if they did. Hopefully they do a tribute before the new series starts this weekend..

David.

Sad news, I started watching as a little kid when she started on the show and they are some of my favourite stories.

I've read the opening entry in this thread at least 10 times and my brain still can't digest that it's true. F*ck it all :(

From what I have heard, BBC4 will be repeating "Hand of Fear" in a couple of week's time by way of tribute. Good on them.
