I just thought I'd share this on here because I know a couple of members on here have mentioned this series before and I thought this may be of interest. Despite claims elsewhere, there were only ever two of these built to this scale ( these are the 2-3ft models which were used for the bulk of the FX work )and they really are one of the most beautifully engineered props I've ever had the good fortune to look over. This was taken last Saturday evening as we were getting it ready to go on display at Matt Irvine's fantastic Smallspace event on the Sunday- where it was re-united with the silver tripod for the first time in nearly 30 years!

See the Tripod on show, plus a lot of other sci-fi props and replicas, at Mat Irvine's Smallspace model show last weekend.

Thanks to Andy Hopkinson, who sent me the link (and was at the show too!)

It's a really good show- seeing both Tripods together after umpteen years was brilliant, although I have to agree with Trev about the actual series! You should try and get along to the next one Chris, the social side of it is brilliant, very relaxed and friendly.
