Anyone know if there is a glimer of truth in the story Michelle Ryan is to be the Series Five companion?

Who is Michelle Ryan Is she young enough to be a companion? As someone said in a letter to the Radio Times this week: "They'll have to be 12 to be a par with Matt Smith."

I think she'd be great also. She is a good actress, and the Bionic Woman was outstanding.

Missed opportunity. Such a young Doctor would've worked well with an older companion IMHO.

They don't seem keen on casting major characters aged over 30 at the moment

I quite like the older companion scenario, Donna worked out really well, until her last story, but with a Dr so young... it could look like he was wandering time and london with his mother

I don't want to seem full of myself (actually on this occasion I don't mind), but when it was announced back in 2003 that Doctor Who was coming back I remember saying to several people that I thought Michelle Ryan would make a good companion. I'm really happy about the news. (Hello BBC any chance of a job in casting?)

While we're on the subject another actress who I think should be cast as an assistant is Anya Raczynski who some may have seen recently in Survivors. I thought when watching Survivors that she would be ideal. Who do I need to speak to?
