If you collect or buy autographs I would highly recommend watching BBC's Rip Off Britain first broadcast on the 15th of Oct regarding fakes etc.

It also includes a rather interesting interview with Mark Hamill regarding his fight against fakes of his own autograph.

Just to let everyone know that the feature is in 2 parts and the Mark Hamill interview can be found about 34 minutes into the program.

I found this fascinating and its the main reason why I don't purchase autographs myself. To be honest the Beatles had me fooled !

Quite right.

Unless you hand the book or photo to the star and they sign it infront of you, its not worth the risk buying second-hand.

Thousands of fakers out there (and I'm glad I typed that carefully).
