Well, quite a few series in the 1960s went back and remade earlier stories...The Avengers is a good example. There are plenty more.

So why not New Series Who remaking (and updating) an earlier classic?

I think it would work well with Troughton stories for Matt Smith, as their portrayals aren't a million miles apart.

Personally I'd go for Power of the Daleks, but then I would, wouldn't I??

Some will no doubt think it too radical an idea, but what do others think??

Personally I'd like to see some animated stories being made, afterall the originals would be best (I think)..., however if that were to prove to costly then I'd not appose remakes of old lost stories, I think it would be rather a good idea & they remade stories into movies in the 60s so I don't see why they can't do it again. So it would be a thumbs up from me!!!

I could imagine a story like Marco Polo being remade for BBC4 if they ever found the money (not very likely) but only as a recasting of the 1st Doctor, Ian, Barbara, Susan and co. You couldn't make it as a modern story with the current Doctor. It would overwrite the original.

It's bad enough Shada being a 4th Doctor adventure and an 8th, and neither!

Personally I think the series should always move on and try not to look back so much.

However, i would like to see quality animated versions of missing episodes with the original soundtracks. I'm sure it will happen one day in the not so distant future.

Not a good idea in my opinion, I wouldn't trust Moffet with something as precious as Power of the Daleks.
