My wife was clearing out some old papers and found an autographed BBC photograph showing William Hartnell as Dr Who. Do items such as these have any value?

Hello Norman. If the signature is genuine it has a very decent value. If the signature isn't dedicated to anyone in particular, all the better.

I'm sure a few on here would make good offers, otherwise let Ebay find the best price for you.

If you can upload a picture of it, and provide us with a link, that will help a lot.

You can put an image into a message on here, but I don't think anyone minds if you host it on one of the many photo storage sites.

i for one would be very interested to see, have been looking for a genuine Hartnell autograph for ages...

Many thanks for the replies, I have no reason to think it is not genuine, my wife has owned the card since she was a girl.

I checked out Ebay and they have indeed sold an identical card recently.

As can be seen there is a small sellotape mark on the bottom edge.
