Does anyone have any tips on building a website as in which is the best provider to use?

I did use (freewebs) or just (webs) as it is called now.

But they have gone the same way as every other site and putting a load of rubbish in the mix like adverts etc...

I don't mind paying so much to build a site but one that can be managed with multiple pages/photos and with out the rubbish added.
